Shetler Studios & Theatres is a renowned studio rental facility in the heart of New York’s Theatre District, a destination for the performing arts community since 1990. Comprising 35 studios in an unbeatable location at the corner of Broadway & West 54th Street, the unique facility supports projects from audition through rehearsal to performance.
Ranging in size from 100 to 1000 square feet, studios are available by the hour, day or week. Features include open space, high ceilings, natural light, air conditioning, dance floors, mirrors, Yamaha pianos, tv monitors, dry-erase boards, tables, chairs, music stands... and great rates!
Two fully-equipped blackbox showcase theatres are complemented by 6 flexible presentation spaces. These venues are ideal for productions, workshops, readings, screenings, seminars, classes, meetings and more. Ron Shetler
Founder & Owner
Born in Michigan, raised in southern California, Ron attended the University of Redlands as a voice major on a full tuition scholarship. Under the stage name Eron Tabor, he performed professionally for 15 years across the United States. In 1980, after earlier developing a proprietary method of singing for himself, Ron established himself as a voice teacher in New York. In 1983 he joined the faculty of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, as Head of the Musical Theatre Department, and taught there for 28 years. In 1990, he founded Shetler Studios & Theatres, and over the years the business has expanded from 3 small studios on 8th Avenue, to 35 studios on West 54th Street, including 2 black box theatres. Ron continues to teach voice from his office overlooking Broadway at Shetler Studios & Theatres, and is actively involved in various productions and philantropic initiatives in the New York performing arts community.
